Kiani didn't look at the girl as she bent to pick up the books. "Kindly watch where you're going, please," she began, until she saw the girl in Novice whites leaning down, picking up books that had been in her arms that Kiani had made her drop as well as the Aes Sedai's own.
Kiani knelt down on the floor beside the Novice, ignoring the startled gasps from the Brown sisters and other Novices and Accepted present. "Let me help you with those," she insisted, picking up her share of the books and putting them on the table. "I didn't mean to startle you into dropping them, I'm just frustrated with a subject I'm working on." Without her ageless face, Kiani knew she looked more like a dressed up Accepted than an Aes Sedai, but Aes Sedai she was, though she sometimes forgot it.
Looking at the pile of books on the table, Kiani couldn't help but notice that the books she and the Novice had were similar, both about the different Ajahs. She looked at the Novice with an interested look now, a contemplative smile on her face. "Maybe you can be of use after all," she murmured. "Have a seat." She kept the books in the pile on the table, pursing her fingers beneath her lips as the Novice sat down across from her.
"Before we begin anything, we must introduce ourselves. I am Kiani al'Jaqhar, an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah. Now, you would think that an Aes Sedai would know anything and everything about the Ajahs, having picked one for herself, but there are inner workings of each Ajah that confound even Aes Sedai. Now. As a Novice, you are not sure which Ajah you wish to aspire to, or at least you shouldn't be. When you get raised to Accepted, the different Ajahs will start vying for which one will get you, and they will tell you anything within our Oaths to get you to choose their particular one." She stared at the books for a few seconds.
"Now, what I am attempting to do is figure out what role each will have when the Last Battle comes. This will also be an opportunity for me to teach you a thing or two, and to educate you about the different Ajahs. This is not an attempt to sway you to join the Green Ajah, by any means. This is an exploration into what each Ajah stands for, and what makes each special."
The girl was nodding her head, though she still looked a little lost. "Let's do it this way; there are seven Ajahs, the Blue, Yellow, Red, Green, Gray, White, and Brown." She raised a slim eyebrow, the raven's feathers falling around her face. "Which would you like to know more about, and what do you know about them so far?" Kiani pursed her lips, the scar on the right side of her face puckering. Maybe this Novice could be of use, after all.

Teli was beginning to learn the wonders of the Library here at the White Tower. Although she was not a prolific reader, Teli did enjoy reading a book every once in a while for her leisure, and even during her half a year here at the Tower, she hadn't really spent much time in the Library. She didn't find herself there completely by choice, however, but rather because of an incident earlier that day out on the Training Grounds. She spent what little free time she had out there, but only because she enjoyed the fresh air, sitting under the shade of some trees as she thought about her time at the Tower, her dreams, and what had happened before to bring her here. She was not, like so many of the other Novices and even Accepted, fawning over the Trainees.
It just didn't help that she got lost in thought so much….
And that's what had happened today. She was out in the Training Grounds, under some trees for shade, thinking about her dream the night before, wondering if it had had anything to do with her latest lesson, when all of a sudden a very angry looking Accepted was standing in front of her akimbo, bent slightly at the waist. Teli jumped up to give her a curtsy, aware that she had already been too late in giving it before really listening to what the Accepted was saying, which only seemed to incite even more anger in the Accepted's eyes.
"…only a green Novice, so what right do you have to be eyeing the Trainees like that? It's not like any of them would even want to Bond you, and you're decades away from being able to, besides!" The Accepted raved, and Teli just stopped herself from sighing. She hadn't been eyeing any of the Trainees, but she knew the Accepted wouldn't listen to her, so she didn't even try to raise a protest. Teli nodded, looking at her toes that were only just visible under the skirt of her dress. "…and don't let me see you out here any longer today, or I'll see you sent to the Mistress of Novices!"
Teli nodded again, heading inside. She wasn't even sure of where she was going to go, she just walked…and that's how she arrived at the Library. Teli knew that she was far off from being Raised, but a strange thought occurred to her, and she went to find some books on the Ajahs, hoping to find some idea of what path she wanted to take…if she even made it to Aes Sedai, which she wasn't entirely sure she would in the first place. Teli was on her way past a table, and she noticed the woman wasn't wearing a white, or rainbow-hemmed dress, and Teli slipped into a curtsy for the Aes Sedai. She was on her way past the Aes Sedai when she suddenly swept the books from the table, landing right in front of Teli's feet. Teli gave a cry of surprise, dropping her own books in the process. Not even thinking, Teli started muttering apologies, picking up the books, not even sure which were hers and which were the Aes Sedai's at that point.
OOC: Perhaps Teli can be of service, even if she is only a lowly Novice?
